＜ド＞　はじめに神は天と地をつくられた。地は形なく空しいもので、闇は深淵をおおい、水の上に神の霊がただよっていた。 神が「光あれ」とおおせられた。すると光ができた。 神は光をよしと思い、光を闇と分けられた。神は光を「昼」と呼び、闇を「夜」と呼ばれた。 こうして夕べが過ぎ、朝が来て、これが一日＜ド＞である。

＜ラ＞　また、神は「地に各種の生物ができ、家畜、はうもの、地のけものが各種生じよ」とおおせられ、そのようになった。 神は、各種のけもの、家畜、地をはうけものをつくり、これを見てよしと思われた。 そして神は「われらにかたどらせ、似せて、人間をつくり、海の魚、天の鳥、家畜、地上のけもの全て、地をはうもの全てを、これにつかさどらせよう」とおおせられた。 神はご自分にかたどって人間をつくり、神に似せてつくり、男と女につくられた。 神は彼らを祝福して「生めよ、ふえよ、地をみたせ、地を従わせよ、海の魚、天の鳥、地上をはうものをつかさどれ」とおおせられた。 また、神はおおせられた。「私はあなたたちに、地上に種をもつ全ての草と、種をもつ各種の果樹を与える。これらはあなたたちの食べものとなるであろう。また、地上の全ての獣、天の全ての鳥、地に生きる全てのはうものの食べものとして、青草を与える」と。そして、そのようになった。 神は、そのわざを見、非常によしと思われた。 夕べが過ぎ、朝がきて、これが第六日目＜ラ＞である。
