仏陀はなぜ如来（＝神）となったのか。

Why did the Buddha become Nyorai(=God)?

それはひとえに忍耐の賜物である。

It is a gift of patience.

仏陀には何度も悪霊が襲いかかり、その命さえも狙われようとしていた。

The Buddha was repeatedly attacked by evil spirits, and even his life was about to be targeted.

仏陀の説法をあざ笑って聞く者さえいた。

Some even mocked and heard Buddha's doctrine.

見かねた弟子の一人は「先生、もうあきらめて別のところへ行きましょう」と言った。

One of the disciples who could not stand it, said, "Teacher, let's give up and go to another place."

仏陀はそれでもあきらめなかった。

The Buddha still did not give up.

仏陀は自分があきらめると世界が滅んでしまうことを知っていた。

The Buddha knew that if he gave up, the world would be destroyed.

それは法華経のゆえである。

That is because of Lotus Sutra.

未來の地球を救うのは法華経。

Lotus Sutra saves the earth of the future,

仏陀はそれはすなわち「いろは」であると確信していたのだ。

The Buddha was convinced that it was "Iroha."

宇宙律法を説く責任は仏陀にあり。

Buddha is responsible for preaching the space law.

この穢れた世であっても見捨てるわけにはいかない。

Even in this desolate world, the Buddha cannot abandon.

仏陀は既に今の時代を見据えていた。

The Buddha was already looking to this era.

仏陀は将来の世に「いろは」を託して涅槃に入ったのである。

The Buddha entrusted "Iroha" to the future world and entered Nirvana.

さあ、吾も忍耐をもって、世界に託された預言を説こう。

Now, with patience, I will also explain the prophecy entrusted to the world.

吾が「いろは」を説かねば世界は崩壊する。

If I don't explain "Iroha", the world will collapse.

よろしいかな。
